What is Ora Pro-Nóbis?

Ora Pro-Nóbis (Pereskia aculeata) is a PANC - Unconventional Food Plant - found in the south-east of Brazil. Known for its extremely high protein content, it was widely used by slaves in the past and was popularly known as the "poor man's steak".

Ora Pro-Nóbis contains a high protein content, vitamin C (4 times more than orange), is a source of folic acid, is an antioxidant, as well as being a good ally in the absorption of iron and the production of skin collagen.
